Therapy Tortoise

Meet Our Special School Tortoise: Tortimer-Joey! 🐢
Hello everyone! My name is Tortimer-Joey, but you can also call me Tortellini or even Tortimus Maximus (that’s my superhero name!). I am the school’s very own therapy tortoise, and I come to visit St. Martin’s School every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with my human friend, Mrs. Lynes.
I am a marginated tortoise. I hatched from my egg on 17th November 2022, which means I’m 3 years old! I may be small, but I have a BIG personality.
I love munching on yummy snacks like:
🥬 romaine lettuce
🥗 lamb’s lettuce
🥬 curly kale
🍓 and sometimes… a juicy strawberry!
I am very friendly and LOVE meeting new people, especially children. I like it when you gently stroke my shell and help give me my bath — it makes me feel fresh and happy!
I also love to explore and go on tiny adventures. Don’t be fooled… I can move faster than you think! I’m very good at hide and seek, and I love climbing too. Sometimes I’m so adventurous that I accidentally roll onto my back — oops! So keep an eye on me, little helpers!
I’m so excited to come to school and make lots of new friends. I can’t wait to see you soon!
Love,
💚 Tortimer-Joey 💚
